Zespri has got its sights set on another Best of Show PMA Island Booth award after winning it with its booth at last year’s expo.

The company’s plans for an award-winning booth include offering booth visitors kiwiritas, the chance to mix up a SunGold smoothie on a blender bike, or a game of life-size Jenga or Connect Four, according to a news release.

Along with all the fun, visitors can talk with Zespri regional managers about marketing programs with the SunGold kiwifruit and 1-pound clamshells along with green and organic kiwifruit options. Zespri offers a variety of packaging options for its fruit, including bags, loose bulk and displays, but has seen the 1-pound clamshell driving sales, according to the release.

“This is our third year exhibiting at PMA,” Sarah Deaton, Zespri marketing manager for North America, said in the release. “We want to keep the excitement and momentum going with our fun booth atmosphere and winning spirit captured during last year’s 5K race when Zespri received the Best Team Spirit award and our Best of Show exhibitor award.

We are driving retailers to our booth and building customized programs exclusively for their business.

“It represents us as a brand and ties into the consumer campaign by bringing the Zespri brand to life and driving traffic at retail. We are driving retailers to our booth and building customized programs exclusively for their business.”

Zespri is co-sponsoring the Fresh Summit welcoming reception and 5K run, and 5K participants can stop by the Zespri booth, No. 1000, to recover with some SunGold kiwifruit, according to the release.
