Mill Valley, Calif.-based TerraFresh Organics, a new organic fruit company in partnership with Harbinger Group, will focus on supplying organic citrus, mangos, stone fruit and grapes in North America.

Six years after selling Purity Organic, Greg Holzman and Steve Akagaki have rejoined forces to create TerraFresh, which shares a commitment to organics with Misionero Vegetables, Green Wave Farms and Vertical Foods, according to a news release.

The company has established grower partnerships and plans a full roll-out of organic fruits under Misionero’s Earth Greens label at the Organic Produce Summit, July 10-11 in Monterey, Calif.

“The Harbinger Group’s working knowledge, grower network, distribution model and commitment to the organic space is unparalleled,” Holzman, TerraFresh Organics’ managing partner and co-founder, said in the release.

Holzman and Akagaki have collaborated for more than 30 years. After Holzman invested in an apple orchard in 1985, he converted it into an organic farm, recruiting Akagaki to help form Purity Organic and Pacific Organic Produce, according to the release.

“We are thrilled to be reviving past partnerships and developing new, strategic relationships with growers and farmers,” Akagaki, also managing partner and co-founder, said in the release.
