The California Table Grape Commission, Fresno, and the Radio Health Journal network have developed a series of messages about the health benefits of eating grapes.

The minute-long radio spots feature Courtney Romano, a registered dietitian and health advisor for the commission, talking about a variety of benefits from eating grapes. The topics are immune health, brain health, heart health, colon health, healthy weight, fall snacking and festive occasions.

The commission describes Romano as a “food-loving dietitian,” who has worked with the commission on health research, recipe and snack development, consumer communications, health influencer education and foodservice marketing.

“Boosting immune health has emerged as an important area of interest for people around the world,” she said in the release. “Grapes, which are being harvested now in California, can be an important addition to an immune-boosting diet.”

More than a dozen segments will air this year on the Radio Health Journal network, which broadcasts on more than 1,400 stations around the country, according to the release.
