Chiquita sponsors online Halloween costume contest

Chiquita Brands International, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., is asking consumers to share their Halloween costumes on social media, with a chance of being featured on the company’s Instagram page.

Chiquita Brands International, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., is asking consumers to share their Halloween costumes on social media, with a chance of being featured on the company’s Instagram page.

The company will ask consumers to vote on the submissions, and the ones with the most votes on Halloween will receive a Chiquita banana costume, according to a news release.

Participants can enter the Chiquita costume challenge by sharing a photo on their Instagram account and tag @chiquitabanana.
Chiquita has also added Halloween-themed recipes to its website.

“Halloween celebrations might look a little different this year, but no matter the circumstances, Chiquita bananas always make for healthy and delicious snacks that are both kid and adult friendly,” Tina Varjabedian, marketing manager for North America, said in the release.
