GreenGate Fresh adds foodservice cilantro, parsley
GreenGate Fresh, Salinas, Calif., is offering cartons of cilantro and parsley for foodservice operators.
The herbs will be available in November, according to a news release. They are shipped with four 1-pound bags in a carton.
“Our customers have been asking for washed cilantro and parsley to add to their orders,” Scott Bricker, Fresh Avenue sales director and partner, said in the release. “It’s these value-added items from GreenGate that streamlines restaurant operations by bringing more food safety, compact storage, and less shipping costs to customers.”
Fresh Avenue is the sales, logistics and marketing group that has common ownership with grower and processor GreenGate Fresh, which is part of the Barkley Ag family of business, according to the release.
“But it isn’t just the item we deliver, but a spectrum of services to ensure our customers save time, money, hassle in their operations and are fully supported by our region-based team,” Mark Vaughan, managing partner for Fresh Avenue, said in the release.
