Brett Bennett joins Crowley Logistics as SVP and GM

Crowley Maritime Corp., Jacksonville, Fla., has hired Brett Bennett as senior vice president and general manager of Crowley Logistics.

Crowley Maritime Corp., Jacksonville, Fla., has hired Brett Bennett as senior vice president and general manager of Crowley Logistics.

Bennett most recently was most recently was at Wallenius Wilhelmsen Solutions, as senior vice president and head of global terminals and stevedoring, according to a news release. He has more than 25 years of experience in transportation and end-to-end logistics. He’s also been with Damco Distribution Services, Maersk’s logistics arm, for 12 years, including a roles as chief operating officer-USA and vice president of operations and strategic client management.

“He has demonstrated success guiding revenue growth, cultivating strategic accounts and leading staff to support business development,” Ray Fitzgerald, Crowley’s chief operating officer, said in the release. “And, as an operations expert, he is dedicated to finding process and digital solutions for improved efficiency, safety, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.”

He succeeds Steve Collar who recently retired after 43 years with Crowley Logistics.
