Karl Hertel joins Sev-Rend as chief financial officer

Sev-Rend, Collinsville, Ill., has hired Karl Hertel as chief financial officer.

Sev-Rend, Collinsville, Ill., has hired Karl Hertel as chief financial officer.

He was at PricewaterhouseCoopers for 17 years, working in the U.S., the United Kingdom and Australia, and brings experience with strategic direction, business development and leadership to Sev-Rend, according to a news release.

“Karl brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Sev-Rend team that will allow us to grow the company in some key areas,” CEO Rob Williams said in the release. “His addition to the management team is a critical component that positions us to grow the company even further.”

The addition of Hertel and other employees in recent years supports the company’s ability to expand its footprint in the packaging industry, according to the release.
