Side Delights has meal solutions for families who choose not to travel during the holiday season.

A recent study shows that 58% of consumers are planning to avoid travel over the holidays, up from 49% last year, according to a news release.

“Usually about 25% of all fresh potatoes sell November through December,” Kathleen Triou, president and CEO of Fresh Solutions Network, marketer of Side Delights products, said in the release. “But this season, many restaurant holiday meals will take place at home, and large family gatherings will turn into several smaller dinners, each with their own turkey and bowl of mashed potatoes.”

As a result, Triou said Fresh Solutions Network expects holiday demand to increase nearly 30% over a normal holiday season.
