California Giant wants to help consumers chill out over the summer.

The berry company’s summer Sip, Chill, Repeat sweepstakes features coupons and recipes through social media and e-mails to engage with consumers.

Sip, Chill, Repeat will be complemented by a Ibotta coupon for 35 cents for any California Giant strawberry purchase, according to a news release.

“We wanted to give our consumer audience a fun promotion that is relevant to them right now,” Kyla Oberman, director of marketing, said in the release. “As people spend more time cooking at home, we’ve seen a 15% increase of total coupon prints in this year’s first six months compared to the total number of prints in all of 2019.”

Sweepstakes prizes include a cooler, ice cream maker and outdoor umbrella; smaller prizes will be awarded throughout the eight-week promotion.

The company is releasing its second e-book of 2020, featuring drink recipes.

“We have spent a lot of time listening to our loyal consumer community over the years and have been very successful in maintaining strong relationships with them through promotions such as this,” Oberman said in the release. “The download rate of our Spring e-book was up 69% over the previous issue. And with the proven success of coupons this year, we hope shoppers will take advantage of both and treat themselves this summer.”
