East Coast Fresh offers vegetable rices, noodles
NEW YORK — East Coast Fresh, Laurel, Md., displayed riced vegetable blends at the New York Produce Show and Conference.
The company plans to make the blends available in the next six months, marketing associate Jessica Amodeo said.
The Confetti blend has rainbow cauliflower, carrots, and white cauliflower. The Harvest blend has acorn and butternut squash, sweet potato and cauliflower. The Stir Fry blend has broccoli, corn, scallions, peas and cauliflower.
“It’s so easy. You dump it in a pan, and with soy sauce and an egg, you’ve got fried rice,” Amodeo said. The company rebranded its line of vegetable noodles as well as vegetable rice, creating new packaging sleeves and adding more cuts, such as butternut squash and zucchini lasagna and ribbons, which hit a few retail shelves within the last three months.
The New York Produce Show and Conference was Dec. 10-13.
