Lakeside Organic Gardens brings back arugula

Watsonville, Calif.-based Lakeside Organic Gardens has brought back organic arugula based on demand and has introduced a new winter crop — peppermint chard — said Marliese McWherter, creative marketing manager.

Other winter crops that are doing well are cauliflower, sweet baby broccoli, red beets, baby bok choy, iceberg lettuce, little gem lettuce and Romanesco, she said.

“Our customers love our Romanesco because we can tag it, which allows the organic ring at the register.”
