As shoppers continue to seek out produce products that are easy, snackable and eliminate tedious preparation, fresh produce innovators are looking to turn fruit and vegetable favorites into bite-sized snacks.

Salinas, Calif.-based producer Taylor Farms is launching a Celery Bites snacking product. Following examples in other categories across the store, such as beverages, salty snacks and cereal, Taylor Farms is introducing celery cut into 1.5-inch long pieces to be ideal for snacking, juicing and use in smoothies, according to a news release.

“Valued-added celery is growing 10% [according to IRI],” Brian Riordan, vegetable director at Taylor Farms, said in the release. “We’re excited to add this offering for our customers, and we have learned that consumers love bite-sized pieces so they can avoid double dipping and easily portion their juices.”

New Taylor Farms Celery Bites will be available nationally in 8-ounce and 20-ounce packages, according to the release.

“Taylor Farms Celery Bites are perfect for snacks and vegetable platters throughout the fall and holiday gatherings,” Riordan said.
