From new products to sustainability to organics, innovation filled the show floor at the New England Produce Council’s 2024 Produce, Floral and Foodservice Expo.

The new boundary expands to the Santa Paula part of Ventura County.

The company that produces Dachtal herbicide used in broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage and onions will no longer sell the product and will work with state and federal authorities to remove it from the marketplace.

The packaging industry continues to come up with innovative ways to fill customers’ packaging needs, whether it’s a produce traceability solution, plastic-free bags or ways to sustainably transport liquid products.

Each year the committee offers foodservice and retail materials, full-color POS merchandise material, recipe cards for consumers and foodservice, and educational material.

“We have increased our acreage out of eastern Washington, which will give us access to additional volume in some of the best growing regions for organic blueberries,” said Brian Vertrees, director of business development.
