Yuma, Ariz.-based Natural Delights is celebrating National Medjool Date Day on Feb. 4, promotions continuing through the month.

“National Medjool Date Day is a great time to engage our communities with recipes for medjool date-based party foods, with the day falling on or near the Super Bowl every year,” David Baxter, brand manager of Natural Delights, the brand marketed by Bard Valley Date Growers, said in a news release. “Medjool dates are so versatile and make a great appetizer, they are a perfect fit your Super Bowl spread. We especially like them stuffed with goat cheese and wrapped in bacon.”

A month-long social media promotion, featuring weekly “flash” promotions, begins Feb. 4. Prizes for the promotion will be gift cards to retailers, according to the release.

The Natural Delights brand has whole, pitted, organic and pitted organic medjool dates, according to the release, and chopped medjool dates and various flavors of medjool date rolls.
