A 2019 study conducted by IRI, a Chicago-based market intelligence and analytics company, found that Side Delights Steamables is leading the microwave/steamable potato segment.

It also found that potatoes remain the No. 1 ranked vegetable, according to a news release.

The Side Delights Steamables are B-sized and triple washed. They are sold in a 1.5-pound, microwavable bag and are ready to eat in 8 minutes.

“The new data reconfirms that the entire potato category performs better for retailers who carry Steamables than those who don’t,” according to the release.

Side Delights Steamables products include red, golden and fingerling potatoes, sweet potatoes, a medley blend and duo potatoes, a combination of red and yellow varieties.

“The cumulative impact of these studies is impressive, as they show that Side Delights Steamables has been leading the segment since 2015,” Kathleen Triou, president and CEO of Fresh Solutions Network, said in the release.

The Side Delights brand was created by Fresh Solutions Network in 2014 to unify popular potato segments under one name.
