Bard Valley Date Growers Association has unveiled new sustainable packaging

California’s medjool date crop this year was exceptional, said David Baxter, brand manager for the Bard Valley Date Growers Association, which markets the Natural Delights brand. “Our crop this year was one of our best harvests in the past 10 years in terms of quality and volume of the fruit,” he says. “The quality was super high.”

The Bard, Calif.-based Bard Valley Date Growers Association has unveiled new sustainable packaging, said David Baxter, brand manager.

“Our new tubs and lids are made out of 100% post-consumer recycled plastic,” he said.

The move is “really a drive toward sustainability,” Baxter said.

Bard Valley Date Growers Association consists of eight growers who market the Natural Delights brand. They specialize in medjool dates.
